BIO Rafael Robina

Rafael Robina holds a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Extremadura (Spain) since 2002 and has been a Full Professor in the field of Business Administration at the Faculty of Business, Finance and Tourism (Cáceres, Spain) since 2025. His academic career has been marked by a strong commitment to research, teaching, and knowledge transfer in the fields of business ethics, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development, with a particular focus on the tourism sector.

He is the author of 105 research articles, 85 of which have been published in high-impact international scientific journals. His work has appeared in renowned academic outlets such as Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Wiley, Emerald, REIS, MDPI, Frontiers in Psychology, Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews (WIREs), and IEEE Access, among others.

In addition to his academic articles, he has published several influential books addressing key topics such as business and environmental ethics, as well as sustainable educational and human development within organizations, with special attention to the tourism industry. His scholarly rigor and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively have made him a reference in his field.

He has participated in over 100 national and international conferences and 50 academic seminars held in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Portugal, Guatemala, Kenya, and South Africa, thus strengthening his international academic presence.

He currently coordinates the research group DELSOS, which focuses on analyzing ethical and sustainable behavior in business—particularly in tourism—through participation in European, national, and regional research projects. Since 2014, he has also led the Innovation and Teaching Project GEEYM (Teaching Business Ethics in Tourism Programs), aimed at integrating business ethics into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in business and tourism studies.

Among his key priorities is the promotion of internationalization at the University of Extremadura, encouraging the signing of agreements with universities around the world and fostering the academic mobility of both faculty and students.
