INNOVATION TEACHING PROJECT

The teaching innovation program consists of the study of ethics from the transformative role of cinema. The main goal is to learn how to solve ethical problems that we currently face in our daily routine.
In the 2020-2021 edition, three films have been selected from a list of 25 viewed. These are: “Margin Call” (2011) set on Wall Street where the lives of the characters revolve exclusively around money. “Human Resources” (1995) that narrates the business-union ethical discourse and “The Most Violent Year” (2014) where an exemplary businessman emerges in the corrupt New York of the 80s (in Annex I located in the cloud the scenes and the footage).
During the program on innovation in teaching, 19 teachers have participated. The sections addressed were: (1) The concept of ethics based on the theme of the film. (2) Definition of the business ethics dilemma. (3) Types of moral principles to develop in the management of the company, (4) Management by moral competencies and types of behaviors that develop from the film.

DELSOS RESEARCH GROUP: LOCAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The objective of DELSOS (Local and Sustainable Development) is to contribute significantly to the sustainable territorial development of territories characterized by low population densities, such as the Autonomous Community of Extremadura and large parts of Spain, the southern European Union or Ibero-America, among other territories. The reason for this is that the main asset that these regions currently have is their territorial potential. This is specified in a wide variety of natural and heritage resources that can be exploited in an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable way.
To achieve this objective, DELSOS approaches its research from a transdisciplinary nature. For this, it integrates a wide variety of highly specialized human resources and cutting-edge scientific-technical disciplines, based on collaborative methodologies.
